HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!
I am pleased to let you all know that i have surrvived my first week at the MTC! but only barely. THIS IS THE HARDEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE IN MY WHOLE LIFE. I thought climbing mt. whintney or a 50 mile trek through the middle of no where was hard but those are baby steps compared to this place. Thank you mom so much for the scripture you shared in your letter. I think of it everytime something seems hard or difficult.... like Italian! THe MTC is trying a new program where the teachers are only aloud to teach in italian and not speak a word of english to us so class time is spent straining to listen and understand what they say. its so difficult but the district above us speaks it fluently and they have been here only 7 weeks. I get better at it everyday and learn more and more, I feel like my brian is going to blow up with all the new grammer and vocabulary. I've learned the first vision and the missionary purpose by memory in italian. I can pray and bear my testimony also. It seems hard but the gift of tounges is amazing. This is the Lords mission and he will help me if he wants me to succeed. That knowledge helps me pull through the tough times.
So when you write me now I am not "Elder Hill" I am "Anziano Hill"; please address my letters and stuff that way =). My companion Anziano Anderson is an awesome dude! He's from Scottsdale Arizona. I couldn't of asked for a better colega. He is a really hard worker and always pushes me. He has been called as our district leader also and does a bomb job at it. He knows his stuff and has a great testimony also. The rest of the guys in my district are great guys also. We get along really well and always have eachothers backs. No one is getting left behind here.
Send me Pictures!! I keep telling them how awesome my family and friends are back home but have no pictures of you guys. My P-day is today, tuesday, so this is when i will be writing you guys letters and stuff. I can recieve letters anyday of the week but can only send them today. There is an ominous timer counting down in the corner of the screen telling me how much time i have left and its totally stressing me out. Oh and i wouldnt mind another white regular t-shirt, we go to the gym alot. I would also like cookies because cookies can make anyday an awesome day.
Well the Spirit here at the MTC is amazing. And everyday as i feel myself progressing in the Lords work i feel happier and happier. My testimony is blowing out the roof here. This place is amazing, although this is the toughest thing i have ever done it is the best thing i could be doing right now =)
Im running outa time because my timmer is blinking now. so im going to say That I LOVE YOU ALL and I LOVE THE LETTERS please keep sending them =)
P.S. Cookies, Pictures, And T-Shirts. =) Gratzi
FYI:I ordered a picture book from Walmart wks ago & it never showed up. Just re-ordered it & am having it sent directly to him. Tami :)
